Lee was cruising past Bagua Mountain in the middle of the night when, all of a sudden, he saw three people in ancient outfits by the side of the road--one of whom even had a face of skeleton makeup on.

Lee said he thought he had seen ghosts when he drove past the three intersections in front of the Chung Hwa Traffic Bureau--each at an intersection in full costume. When he saw them, he became so scared that he sped up and dared not to take a second look.

Not long after, the people that were with him along the ride thought something was off. So they mustered up the courage to go back to check what was going on. However, when they returned to the scene, the "ancient people" had disappeared.

The group, thereupon, went to report this to the police at the traffic bureau, saying that "there are weird people out on the road, it's very scary."

The police stated that when officers went out to patrol the area, they found no one suspicious. So they concluded that it was only a prank.

As all people familiar with Taiwanese culture, it is "ghost month" at the moment. Therefore, any activities related to paranormal pranks will be penalized and fined up to $6,000 NTD according to the Public Order Act.
