Typhoon Soudelor had entered Taiwan at the speed of 230 km/hr on Saturday. Of course, it had made landfall; but the general public were more interested in a couple of mailbox on Longjiang Road in Taipei that had been blown sideways when the cyclone passed.
Because we all love cute things like this, these two tilted mailboxes immediately became viral in Taiwan.
Usually, damaged public property is replaced. But due to the fact that the two mailboxes have generated so much interest--there were queues around the two mailboxes, which were now called Jacky and Mary--that the Taipei Postal Services have decided to keep them.
