Man gets tossed off a 20-storey building by drug dealers

When a drug dealer named Tung and his three other companions failed to collect debt from one of their buyers, they first beat the man, locked him outside of his own balcony, and then forced him to kneel--in order to "think about the mistakes that he had made."

The buyer, Yeh, owed Tung $45,000 NTD. Drug dealer Tung had been relenting in the past, but on Aug. 3, he came up with a plan to lure Yeh in and teach him a lesson.

On Aug. 3, Tung and his friends, Xu and Chou, rented a room in a building in Banqiao and invited Yeh to join them for a drug session. After the session, Tung then proceeded to ask Yeh to return the $45,000 NTD. But due to the fact that Yeh was unable to produce the money, he was beaten with a steel bat until Tung decided to lock him outside on the balcony and told him to kneel while he "thinks about all the mistakes that he had done."

However, at three o'clock in the afternoon, Yeh's body unexpectedly fell from the balcony and landed with multiple fractures on the body on the fourth floor. He was pronounced dead when he arrived to the hospital.

According to police investigations, Yeh was not a resident of the building and had entered with Tung. But when Yeh had fallen, the three drug dealers left in a hurry. And there were marks on the body and head from the beating; based on these evidence, Tung, Xu, and Chou were considered the biggest suspects. The three individuals were taken into police custody on Aug 4.

"I only told him to stay on the balcony to think things over, who knew he would have jumped?" said Tung when in custody. And he admitted to giving Yeh a slap in the face and hitting him with a baseball bat, only with the intention of "teaching him a lesson." He never expected Yeh to jump from the balcony.

However, the police suspected a different truth; they suspected that Yeh was already tortured to death before being tossed over the balcony.

Tung said that the "spirit of the dead" was still with him" but it was probably because Tung was still high.

Now the three men will be dealt with according to law.
