Hsieh, a wanted drug criminal was hiding out in one of the rented suites in Tu Chung. And because he loved McDonald's so much, he decided to operate a "fast food drive-thru" of his own, selling drugs. His code words for his buyers for the product and amount and were "Meal #1," "Meal #2," and the "Happy Meal."
When the New Taipei City police booked him in, Hsieh revealed that "Meal #1" offered the most quantity--it meant that the buyer was paying for 3.75 grams of heroin. "Meal #2" was half of "Meal #1." And "Happy Meals" offered the smallest quantity, which was 0.93 grams. "Meal #1" sold the best but the price could go as high as $18,000 NTD.
The night before at 7 p.m., the criminal investigation team six of the New Taipei City Police Dept. waited ten hours outside before ambushing Hsieh's residence. It wasn't until 4 a.m. when a friend of Hsieh's came to deliver breakfast that they decided to act on their mission and arrest Hsieh. The police found 7.7 grams of heroin, 34.8 grams of amphetamine, and syringes as evidence.
