Girlfriend dies after being tossed around by boyfriend

A used car dealer in Kao Shiung, 47, attacked his girlfriend, Tien, after getting into an argument about borrowing money to open a hair salon together. The car dealer, whose name is only disclosed to the public as "Wang," tossed his girlfriend around multiple times before stabbing her to death.

The autopsy showed that the body bled to death, but Wang tried to cover it up by changing its clothes and telling the girlfriend's sister that it was all a simple suicide.

The girlfriend's sister had doubts in Wang's story and, therefore, called the police.

According to the investigations, Wang had previous records of domestic abuse, attempted murder, assault, posession of weapons, etc. A year ago, Wang became acquainted with Tien, 45. After they started cohabiting, Wang became domestically violent toward Tien. When they used to gamble and lose money at internet cafes, Wang would let all his steam out on Tien physically. Tien would used report these abuses.

The day before yesterdayat 3 a.m., the couple was arguing about borrowing money from Tien's family for the hair salon they were going to be operating together, when Wang became aggressive and lifted the petite Tien up and smashed her to the ground.

After Wang did this several times, he took a knife to his girlfriend's temple, causing blood to drain out of her to the last drop.

At 7 a.m., he finally called the sister of the girlfriend and told her that Tien's depression had taken over her and caused her to cut her wrists. But the sister called 110 immediately because she had doubts in Wang's statement.

When the police arrived, they saw that the scene did not suggest suicide--there were several uneven marks on the left wrist, and that there was red swelling in the back of Tien's head; the blood on the floor looked like it was from the temple and not from the wrist--and asked Wang to confess, he stuck to the story of suicide.

It wasn't until the night before last that the police really got a confession by hitting a nerve in Wang's soft spot.

Tien's mother was very upset that her daughter would die such a tragic death. She claimed that Tien had borrowed $500,000 NTD from her before to buy a car for Wang; and now she ends up dead all because there is no money coming from the family anymore.
